In this post I'll talk about AISI 201L. First let's describe it and then have a look at its material's properties.
What is AISI 201L?
AISI 201L stainless steel is a low carbon version of type 201, and provides adequate intergranular corrosion resistance.Application
Hose clamps member. Washing machine basket siding. Air bag containers. Door frames. Cookware bodies or lids transit car structural. Piston rings transit car roofing. Thermal window spacers. Truck trailer posts.UNS Number

AISI Ranking Research (Stainless Steel)
While engineers will often look for the cheapest material they can use, I took a different approach to material's selection to help newbie students.I ranked materials according to their yield strengths and AISI 201L currently ranks 23 in my yield strength index. This means there are other 22 materials that are more resistant.
Note: I've analysed 77 materials in order to create an yield strength index. Check my material's comparison post for more details.
