Stainless Steel material's ranked by Yield Strength
First of all, I've got to explain that my objective here is purely academic.
Why Yield strength?
Materials with lower resistance tend to be cheaper than those that are stronger, because they usually require less alloying elements or thermal / mechanical processing to achieve their resistance. There is correlation between strength and cost but that it doesn't mean that weaker materials will always be cheaper. There are many variables, most notably quality / inspection requirements.
Also yield strength was chosen instead of tensile strength as it the most used criteria for material selection (By mechanical engineers at least).
Note: Rank #1 is more resistant than rank #10.
