In this article, I'd like to explain "What is 'airless spraying'". Let's characterize it and answer some popular questions.
And the quick answer is…
The spraying of paint by means of high fluid pressure and special equipment.
Airless spray application is the process of pushing a coating at high pressure (3000 psi) through a small orifice, then releasing the pressure back to atmospheric pressure as the paint exits the spray tip.
The pressure differential (high to low) causes the coating to atomize.
Airless spraying is often preferred because the end result is a smooth and even finish, which can withstand wear and tear as well as harmful corrosion effects.
These are questions that people still ask:
Airless spraying
How does an airless spray gun work...
Airless spray guns. Most have a paint pump (also called a lower) that is a double acting piston, in which the piston pumps the paint in both the down and the upstroke. Some airless pumps have a diaphragm instead of a piston, but both types have inlet and outlet valves. Thanks for reading up to this point and I hope you have great day.
Note to self: Draft for a new post.
