Period Number of Ytterbium (Yb) (& Location, Uses ...

All atoms have a period number assigned, even Ytterbium. Ok but how do we know what is the period name for an atom of Yb?

If we know the symbol, let's say Yb, we may then open any periodic table and search for Ytterbium. Any decent periodic table should have the period numbers when you scroll left starting from the element you found.

In the case of Ytterbium the period number is 6. There is a lot of cool stuff about Ytterbium that people simply don't know. Let me show you...

When you need to include a fact or piece of information in an assignment or essay you should also include where and how you found that piece of information.

That gives credibility to your paper and it is sometimes required in higher education.

To make your life (and citation) easier just copy & paste the information below into your assignment or essay:

Luz, Gelson. "Period Number of Ytterbium (Yb) (& Location, Uses ..." Materials. dd mmmm. yyyy. <URL>

Now replace dd, mmmm and yyyy with the day, month, and year you browsed this page. Also replace URL for the actual url of this page (The < and > stay, ok?). This citation format is based on MLA.

Who is Gelson Luz anyway?

Gelson Luz is a Mechanical Engineer, expert in welding and passionate about materials. Search for "Gelson Luz" in your favorite browser to learn more.
