Group Number of Germanium ☢️ (& Uses, Sources ... rev. 2022

As anyone would guess, every atom has a group name assigned, even Germanium. But how do we know what is the group name for an atom of Ge?

First of all, if we know the atom symbol (or name), let's say Ge, we can open any periodic table and search for Germanium. If the periodic table is complete just scroll up and read the number on the top (from 1 to 18).
