Group Number Neon (Ne) (& Color, Uses ... rev. 2022

All atoms have a group name assigned, even Neon. Ok but how do we know what is the group name for an atom of Ne?

If we know the symbol, let's say Ne, we may then open any periodic table and search for Neon. Any decent periodic table should have the group numbers when you scroll up starting from the element you found.
