Group Number Lithium (Li) (& Color, Uses ... 2022

All atoms have a group name assigned, even Lithium. Ok but how do we know what is the group name for an atom of Li?

If we know the symbol, let's say Li, we may then open any periodic table and search for Lithium. Any decent periodic table should have the group numbers when you scroll up starting from the element you found.
